Trail of the Whispering Giants, part 2

Trail of the Whispering Giants, part 2

There it is, at a prominent location a beautiful totem pole, I think that must be,…  Rain showers are forecast, it’s a good afternoon to tour down the Delaware coast to the parks on the narrow barrier sand. Passing this large carving, I need to stop on the return north and find out if this is what I think it is.  On a decorated corner of Delaware Rt. 1 and a center of town road in Bethany Beach, Delaware is this great carved monument.  When examined, I was not able to find a plaque or other identifier.  City hall is at that location, no help was found.  I took a quick picture, I was convinced this must be one of the series.  Linda called up the Google god and confirmed the pole was created by Peter Wolfe Toth.  Peter, an immigrant from Hungary, created one of these in each state as his gift to the US and in appreciation of native American heritage back in the 1980’s. This sculpture pays tribute to the Naticoke people.  My previous mention of the sculpture in Massachusetts appears here:
